The USA made it in on saturday!:) They were saying it's such a relief, blah, blah, blah.... but they better keep working hard so they don't have another 3-and-out like they did at the last world cup.

The Argintines will be fine. Even if they take 5th, they will play the 4th place team from CONCACAF - which will likely be somebody like Honduras or Costa Rica. The winner of that game will get the last spot in the world cup from North and South America. While qualifiers haven't been great for Argentina lately, they should still be fine.

I mean as a American what you expecting from your team?

Well im a bit gutted because my team failed to qualify. I'm Turkish by the way :)

So i shall be just watching the football for the football. Well i think Argentina are very lucky to be where they are especially the display they put on in the game on saturday. Very lucky i thought. Personally I see Germany at the momment winning it, i thinkt hey have the best all round team.

Well they made it to the quarter finals and lost to Germany in 2002. I realize that it was probably a bit of luck in there, but I do at least expect them to make it out of the group stage in 2010. We aren't as bad as the rest of the world thinks. We beat Spain in the Confederations Cup and lost to Brazil 3-2 in the final.

Yeah i had a soft spot for you guys in the 2002 world cup. I always liked Brian McBride especially when he played for fulham.

Im sure you will do ok at 2010 just depends who you get in your group. you where very unlucky wiht your group in 2006. Plus im expecting big things from Altidore and Dempsey.

The Argentines better beat Uruguay and hope Ecuador don't beat Chile in order to go ahead and at least secure 5th spot.

Mexico made it in on Saturday! freakin relief! :scat: I am expecting them to get out of at least the group stage. Also, expecting big things from Dos Santos and Vela no doubt :scat:

Can't freaking wait for December when the group stage get created.

Well Chile qualified on Saturday as well so they could be starting their B-team against Ecuador.... Could be trouble for Argentina. That would be crazy if they didn't make it.

I think it will be a like England though for the last world cup. It will be a close call, but we'll see Argentina in there, and probably see them past the group stage as well.

Chile will most likely use a B-team there is no need to use their A squad and putting their best players in danger of getting a red or a yellow which will count for the final stage next June. Brazil has been playing with their B squad since they qualified I don't see why Paraguay and Chile won't be doing the same.

I can't stand the Argentines so I hope they don't make it their cockiness annoys me. Plus they are playing against a revitalized Uruguay and being home it won't be easy.

I really think the Argies will find it hard. I really dont see them going through aswell. Its also close for Portugal and Sweden.

They haven't been very good playing away and uruguay is very tough playing in their field. Ecuador will go all out against Chile. It's going to be very interesting last qualifying matches.

Yeah very true dude, will be intresting tomorrow night to see what happens. Well im looking forward to the main group draw too see who gets who in the groups :)

Should be intresting. Then we can start making som predictions.

They are going to use Brazil, England, Italy, Spain, Germany as 4 of the head of groups and the rest will be random. I think whoever makes it first in Concacaf will have a head of group.

well mexico should be in a good group then??;)

Who knows, the past 3 we've gotten some pretty tough teams.

98

Netherlands, Belgium and South Korea

02

Italy, Ecuador and Croatia

06

Iran, Portugal, Angola

So for 2010 I am expecting something of the same. A tough European, a difficult rising Asian/African team and a South American.

Bite your tongue!:p The US had an abysmal showing last night but give them credit for not giving up. The goal they scored with 15 seconds left in injury time tied the game and made them the winners of CONCACAF. Can't wait for the drawings now.

Anyone else see the ridiculous coach for Costa Rica complain until they ejected him? What an idiot... then his assistant wouldn't shut up so he was escorted out as well:hilarious:

I didn't even watch the games yesterday, we are in so I didn't really care what happened next lol

Damn Argentina is in, stupid Uruguay and Ecuador.

Spain have a very good chance of winning. I think you have to look at the confedarations cup just gone as to who plays best in the conditions. Its not oging to be hot in south africa during june/july. i'm still going with germany or Brazil :)
