None of the copies are in the same league as Nova Avengers. In fact none of them come within miles of Avengers.
The PET slips look tacky and the Full Slip is just another Full Slip. Poster is nice though.

I'm sure there's some people that would say the holofoil Avengers slips look tacky as well.

I'm joking of course, I've had the full slip for about a week or so now and tbh the steel itself is pretty basic and if the design (not the finish) was released by zavvi I'd probably be moaning about it. It's the overall effort Plain make though, the original artwork, quality of steel finish and the dedication to their art that make me love them. Think their steels will be best viewed as a collection than individual pieces.

Plain have already made a statement apologising about this. They create extras for replacements and so forth and they have sent out a few of the numbers above 700 by mistake.

Sorry guys, but that is my opinion.

Fanboys? Sounds like something you'd call Avengers fans...anyway you could say the same thing about the Nova release - just a bunch of character shots with the title and some holofoil. I love BOTH releases though, and have no idea why they're even being compared. But from an artistic standpoint, ZDT is miles better than the hundredth Avengers release.

The comparison is between 2 titles of approx same age. (Back catalogue)
Both Korean retailers.
Both retailers in my collection.

Just like any other label there are of course Plain Archive diehards who are so invested in the brand they would purchase PA printed logo toilet paper if they announced it was going up for pre-order. Then some of them would fret over a low number as well.

With that being said I don't see any real reason to compare ZDT to Avengers: they're both steelbooks and both feature different slipcovers and extras. Both are aimed at collectors. And you prefer one release to the other. That's great! Seems a little silly to come in and throw it out there to start some kind of arguement though.

If I went into the Nova Avengers thread and started slagging it off, I'd expect a similar reaction to what you've had here.
