Everything Blu Facebook

Release Schedule (SUBJECT TO APPROVALS!) - We would like to let you know our direction over the next few releases and as stated above, these are subject to approvals. We are taking on board suggestions of movies without steelbook releases but we need some sort of foot in the market before doing so. However, some of those titles have already been brought up in a meeting today, so hopefully we can progress further with those soon.

This schedule is planned to have full Exclusive SteelBook designs (Not just flipped artwork exclusivity). All would feature the same setup as Shaun of the Dead; Full Slip, Lenticular & Blu Box.

Casino EE 002
Hot Fuzz EE 003
Oblivion EE 004
The Worlds End 005

Thank you to everyone supporting us, please let us know you thoughts on the titles above!!

Looking at this image more and more I find myself liking it less and less.
Certainly better than the original mock-up with Pegg on the front and Frost on the back! . . . but it's still an image/stance - or an image very similar - that's been used already on quite a few previous releases, including:-
Reel Heroes (US & UK) -----------UK and just about everywhere ------- UK DVD --------------------- Spain DVD and so on . . .

. . .

- Leaning more towards the previous U.K. steelbook front image but, like SHAUN, portrait instead of landscape.

- To go with SotD's colour this steelbook should be blocked in one strong colour too . . . dark blue to SHAUN's post box red.

- Title would be de-bossed like SotD

- Finish would be zero with spot gloss or creative use of the white base coat creating metallic reflections to the sunglasses and to the pistol.

This positioning -----------------------------------------------------------------------rather than this . . . no blue banner header (goes without saying) . . . title treatment as on the mock-up/on the poster below . . . dark blue backdrop (although black looks good too) reflecting the colour of the uniforms.

As mentioned previously, badge as back art is perfect and even better if given a treatment similar to the badge on the back of GANG RELATED.
. . . leaving a de-bossed front title and an embossed back badge for HOT FUZZ.

Just my 2¢

Why not make one similar to the Shaun of the Dead one.

The backart is awful. The Shaun of the Dead steelbook has an iconic promotional art with the films tagline "A Romantic Comedy with Zombies". Maybe the same should have been here either with the tag line "They're bad boys. They're die hards. They're lethal weapons. They are..." or "Big Cops. Small Town. Moderate Violence"

You know what's really off putting...the background. The dark blue is like something you see on a pre set Power Point background

I like it. :woot: The colors will look good glossed, and the artwork leaves a lot of room for 'bossing.

Title placement is too low, though. The old mockup had the same problem in reverse (too close to the upper edge). It looks awkward and out of balance when the title is pushed off to such an extreme. Correct that, and I'm definitely game.

Updated artwork much, much better and different enough to what's gone before to be the best HOT FUZZ steelbook on the market by a country mile.

Position of title is logically placed over the cityscape and not across Nick Frost's belly although it would've been cool to have wraparound cityscape instead of the same front and back but I suppose 'tis OK as front cityscape is obscured by the title (lol).

Nice design EBlu
