"That image is just the slipcase - looking forward to showing the actual steel book... New art and the finish is unbelievable #ExMachina"

Mondo X #10 Ex Machina
I was not expecting that even though a few mentioned it

Not sure on this one I already have the amazing UK Universal Steelbook

I'm waiting to see photos of the this Mondo X steelbook as we only have a photo of the slipcase at the moment

I will probably end up getting this so my Mondo X Steelbook Collection is not missing one of the releases

A little disappointed Mondo X #10 was not a different film instead

Am i going too far by expecting any deboss/emboss treatment on this or other mondo steelbooks ?
I've been wondering the same. Embossing/debossing is one of the aspects that I love about steelbooks. Mondo has made a wonderful premium line that would be greatly improved by adding some embossing/debossing.

In my opinion the mondo line is about the art and the steelbook is the canvas. I like how they're going with different and unique paint finishes rather than embossing/debossing
I guess I think of it more as the steelbook as the medium rather than the canvas.
I agree that Mondo has made use of paint finishes in an impressive way. I see nothing wrong with both different and unique paint finishes as well as embossing/debossing.

I wasn't 100% sold on that art when I first saw it, but knowing that the real artwork lies underneath the slip has convinced me that they're going to blow us away once again. Mondo's creativity knows no bounds! Can't wait to see the full thing. :D
