Mostly art, found most of them a little underwhelming, except flash gordon and drive

Are they kidding? Have they seen the UK/DE steel? It's no competition. Boring front with no title - the other one doesn't need a title because the art itself is visually interesting. The steel itself has no color! Even the disc has no color. It's not a black and white film - the inner workings of Ava are colorful, as are the AI brains. No inside art. Tiny back art as usual (Wreck said they were looking into it but that was several releases ago). The only good thing about this is the slip. The only Jock steel art I haven't disliked was the original Mondo print for this film he did, which they didn't use here. So this is no exception.

It's all about the finish. I'm expecting Mondo Drive gloss finish all over again.

Nah, I'll pass. I'm sure the finish will be special but it won't improve the actual art or add some much needed color. Looks like an Evanescence/Bjork album cover from ten years ago. The UK/German steel is a real beauty and it has a gloss finish.

I'm disappointed with the finished design. The slip cover looked pretty cool, but the white steel is so featureless it's just dull looking.

I hope mondo go back to using their posters as the basis of the steelbook art.

Ooo, that is beautiful. Perhaps not as nice as the Zavvi steelbook but that's a very nice and understated/minimalist design. It's funny, when Mondo first released their poster for the film I thought Ava didn't look very feminine in it. And the fact that the image of Ava from Jock's poster has been incorporated here on the back but... made much smaller... makes me wonder if Mondo and Jock had the same thoughts once they'd kinda sat down and taken a look at the artwork. Hopefully the steelbook itself has got a Pan's Labyrinth esque finish

The designer is going OTT. He needs to tone down a little bit as it is dangerously close to the project poop art.

Love the SteelBook and I'm more than happy to double-dip on this movie; one of the best of the year IMO.

But I don't like BBs inconsistency for selling SteelBooks since taking over from FS. First I have to buy 50 Shades Online Only, then I get a bunch of releases In-Store, while Mondo X #006/007/008 go to the US, then Mondo X Terminator is available In-Store, but Mondo X Ex Machina is back to Online Only. Make up your mind, develop a consistent marketing plan and stop confusing your customer.
