That's what I love about it, the slipcover makes it look like a completely different steelbook and the image on the slipcover looks great.

Totally. The minimalist vibe of the steelbook works... because of that slip, doesn't it? Without that slip I think I wouldn't disagree with those who find the steelbook to be a bit on the boring side maybe.

Slip does look nice but not a huge fan of this tbh.
Wish it was Jurassic Park or Aliens.

anyone know where/when Mondo used the cover art? Was it commissioned just for the steelbook or was there a vinyl with this art I can't find?

someone posted the slip artwork without knowing what was the next movie announced. so maybe it is not only for the steelbook

The slip was concept art done for the film by Jock who is a regular Mondo artist.
This is the first steelbook not based on existing print but it's Mondo selected art from a regular Mondo artist.
