Well want to see Dicaprio and Lawence win and Stalone.

Other than that no nomination for Soutpaw . Also FF7 that song is so poyniant and beautiful desrved a nod . Whoever votes soulless gits .

Apparently THE MARTIAN directed itself.
What a weird year. A movie I had no hope for (The Martian) is my fav. And the movie I was most hopeful and excited for (Hateful Eight) I despised....
And did Vikander really deserve it more for Danish Girl than for Ex Machina (which should have had some respect)?

I've seen all the Oscar nominees for Best Picture and while I think Mad Max deserves it, it's quite a miracle that it was even nominated as I can't recall the last straight action movie was nominated. Most have been sci fi or drama with bits of action. If I had to put money on it, I'd mirror most of you and go with:

Best Picture - The Revenant
Best Director - Alejandro Inarritu
Best Actor - Leonardo Di Caprio
Best Actress -Brie Larson
Best Supporting Actor - Mark Ruffalo
Best Supporting Actress - Kate Winslet

Snub wise, I was shocked that Carol and Steve Jobs were not nominated for Best Picture. I found both to be better than Bridge of Spies and Brooklyn. Both of which are still solid movies, but not at the same level as other movies. Other Best Picture snubs were Beast of No Nation, Sicario and Creed.

Acting wise, while Matt Damon was good, I don't think it was worthy of a nomination for Best Actor. I think Johnny Depp in Black Mass was way more deserving of that spot. I co-sign with the other ninja about Jacob Tremblay; he should have been nominated for Best Supporting and I think he should have won. Another snub was Idris Elba for Beasts of No Nation and I would have swapped Rachel McAdams with Alicia Vikander from Ex Machina and changed Alicia's nomination for the Danish Girl up to Best Actress and knocked off Jennifer Lawrence.

Last for snubs, I also agree that Fast 7 got screwed in the song category and Aaron Sorkin got screwed in the Best Adapted Screenplay category. And while the movie was not good and underwhelming, the costumes in Jupiter Ascending were spectacular and should have been nominated for Best Costume design. I think there is still a big gap between how the Oscar voters rate movies versus how the general public rate movies.
