This was $27.99 USD + shipping + import fees from Amazon.com on Oct. 1st, which is where I'm getting mine from. The total is $41.62 USD inclusive to Ontario, and there's a chance the import fee will be refunded a month later (making this $35.97 USD shipped to my door).

The price has since shot up, but it's $51.24 USD shipped to your door (in Ontario, again with a chance of being refunded $7.24 in import fees a month later) from Amazon.com vs. having to get up and drive for $50.84 CAD (plus gas or transportation cost).

Anyway, it's another option to consider, at least.

It'd be nice to see the price drop, but I doubt it will. HMV isn't exactly the cheapest place out there for Blu-rays. I may still buy this, though. At least I can look at it up close now before making the decision.

Just got back from HMV with my awesome Batman cowl. This thing's a lot smaller than I thought it'd be and it was still $44.99, but I'm super happy with it. I'll try to take some pics of it shortly.

Picture time! This set's limited to only 3500 pieces in Canada. I also took a couple pics of the free film cell that was given to me when I purchased the cowl. It features the stock market scene.

In Montreal the price is the same . The guy said that they have around 70 of them. One interesting thing, 25 minutes after opening the store there was a line of 10-12 people with this edition plus beside the cash i saw 14 preordered for pick up. I am sure it wont be there on the xmas boxing day. it will be gone soon.

I love that it's numbered, too. Means that I'll be keeping it sealed and just watching either my Target Digibook or my Best Buy CA edition.

When I've been in my local HMV store, they had about 20-30 of them lying everywhere... I'll wait and hope the price gets lower than that and get it eventually.... NO way I'm spending 50$ for this plastic cowl...

My store received a little over 20, but when I went there at noon, there was only 7 remaining. I think that this'll sell out once more people know it exists at HMV.

No, HMV.ca doesn't ship period. It's essentially a useless site. Gives you prices and lets you know if something's available in your city.

The store gave it to me as a bonus, though I'm not sure whether you can receive it for any edition or just for buying the cowl.
