Yes, amazon.es is particularly slow for shipments. Unfortunately, after sales service is not as responsive as other amazon platforms. But I may have been unlucky. In addition, the steelbooks are shipped in A1 cardboards.

I chatted with their customer service and they said they would send a message to the fulfillment center to ship the steelbook in a box. They'll probably still ship it in an A1 envelope but it can't hurt to ask for a box.

Yes, I just spoke to them on chat and asked them to ship it in a box. They said they will send an email to "send with more protection than usual" - Fingers crossed...
And regarding the adverse weather conditions - I got an email saying it could be delayed by up to 4 days! The person on chat said the same thing. You guys who got it dispatched already are lucky

I did the same. I have mine being shipped with Non Stop (FR) so hopefully it will be boxed.
 
about to be delivered (ordered on 1), i hope in the next couple of hours (arrived at the courier's warehouse on friday).

Ordered on 2 July... at this time not shipped!

I emailed them regarding the delay on my order placed 1st July and received the following reply:

I hope this email finds you well, and thank you for contacting us, it will be a pleasure to assist you with your inquiry today. Ronnie, please also accept my apologies for any inconveniences caused due to the delay with your order xxx-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx.

I will like to let you know that we had an inconvenience in one of our warehouses that a caused a delay in shipping of some of the orders placed. Rest assure that we are working to resolve this matter as quickly as possible, and to make sure you receive your item promptly, I have modified the shipping option on your order at no charge.

After this modification, your item is schedule to be shipped tomorrow and deliver by July 10th, 2014.

i received mine today in a ultra thin cardboard mailer , no other kind of protection

i opened it and luckily mine is mint but i'm afraid other people won't be as lucky as me

everybody is complaining about zavvi's packaging but this is the same crappy packaging :angry:

luckily amazon's customer service is excellent so wouldn't be too much worried if their is a problem with your order but since this steelbook is already out of stock they won't be able to sent you a replacement ...

Ordered on the 2nd, was due for delivery on the 10th and it hasn't even been dispatched yet - so I contacted them via live chat querying this, saying that as shipping said it takes 3-5 days surely it would not arrive on time.

Customer service upgraded my shipping to "express" free of charge and confirmed it'll be dispatched today and here by the 10th :thumbs:

Edit: Shipped via UPS today :LOL: they're actually using a proper courier (rather than the likes of the terrible Amazon Logistics they use in the UK).
