Question from a JP steel ignoramus - how different are the steels themselves to other releases? Since I've never had one to compare, just wondering if the steel is heavier, more quality than a UK one, for eg.?

Most likely the same with probably a better looking slip but tere are few Steels like the recent Warner Premium UK wave which were supposed to look identical to the JP release but didn't as the finishing and quality was god-awful.

Better presentation with a nice slip or no slip at all and beautiful looking shrinkwrap. It also seems the quality control is much higher on these Japan steels. Its very rare that you get a steel from Japan with even a small tear or scratch on the shrinkwrap.

Collecting Asian steels is a rich mans game.

Expect to be out of pocket around $10,000 per year if you are committed to buying every steel out of the Asia region.
