Genie und wahnsinn?

When the cover is the same as the amaray then it just isn't good enough and Media Markt are quite close to losing the plot here.

I love the movie but I'm a little disappointed in this steelbook. I mean there's a lot of backdrops they could have used, why did they go with this one? :( Oh well, I think I'll pass. It's not worthy of a steel yet.

Gotta reiterate the sentiments above^^^ what a lazy a$$ wave of steel books this is from Germany. Typical no thought crap from DE of late. We as consumers can make a difference and stop these kinds of lazy artwork releases if we stop buying them! Don't buy and they will take notice (hopefully, lol).

Don't be ridiculous :hilarious:

I agree that this artwork could be improved. Everyone was negative about the Alien etc. steelbooks they recently announced, but since the artwork was updated, they look much better. They might not be the total disaster everyone is expecting.

lol, perhaps. Only thing that could make up for the poor front art is if they didn't have printed back and inside art and even then maybe. Im personally out on the entire wave. Just poor all around IMO. I gave in on the last wave from Germany as it had titles that I had been waiting for a long time and the front art was actually decent despite the horrible printed backs and no inside art. The front art IMO is VERY important. It can sell a steel book despite other issues but usually not the other way around.

I think the last Paramount wave was not so exciting in DE either. I am skipping them all, just too many much better Steelbooks to choose from, imo. Some of these movies are regularly $7.99 on Blu-Ray-for double and triple the cost by the time they're imported, I am not giving them a cent for being that lazy....:hilarious:

Pssst, hey Media Markt/DE decision makers-please look at retailers like Play, who really went to bat for special design elements :scat:

agreed for sure DB. I was a victim of the last wave, lol. I saw some of you posting that your skipping and thought about it but still went ahead and bought some of them. I thought at least in that wave some of them had decent front art. I definitely don't regret getting some of them but would be a big bummer if they got re-released again somewhere with back and inside art.

Hey Steel-yeah, it happens...I have Steelbooks purchased years ago, and I wish I hadn't. You live and learn. I've weeded my collection over the years of crap films, etc. But there is definitely a resurgence of some great Steels coming-some retailers/regions listen more than others. I am sure many German Steel fans are not as excited about this wave, and are sharing their feedback on various forums, too.....
