Now that you've mentioned this, you're almost right, I'd still move the Actor credits and the title logo a bit further to the right, and yes, this would be better.love this film.
art on this is iffy though. The composition on the front cover is wrong. the tunnel and title should be on the left side of the cover, and the characters should be on the right side.
we read left to right, dont we. we 'read' art the same way too, left to right. so having the characters on the left, and also facing left, naturally makes you follow their gaze... back out of the image. its like being met with a brick wall. so your eyes dont naturally wander around the rest of the image.
if they put the characters on the right side, since they are all gazing to the left,it would be easier on the eyes, you would be able to enjoy the other element too- the tunnel, since their gaze would draw you to it and keep you locked in the image.
here is a quick (literally 5 min) mock up i made with a composition that works.

these are such basic principles of composition which are being ignored, the standard on the art for these steels lately are really low.
or, just another 5 mins of very rough work and you have something approaching a very nice composition, with enough blank space to even add teddy... facing right, of course

are these artists even trying?

I think this could look really nice if the colours pop. It is certainly more interesting than the amaray and digibook artwork.
:lol:More interesting but not better. This movie is just awful. The start of Spielberg's horrible run that is still going to this day.
It's even worse. It's like taking a composition of Beethoven and play it from right to left XD. Someone's actually being paid for taking the trouble to worsen existing artwork!in the poster their eyes were originally directed in the direction of the tunnel... leading you to a point of interestwhy on earth would you have them facing out to nowhere, as if to say 'nothing interesting to see here.' there are no buts about it, it is technically incorrect and no self respecting professional artist would have made that choice. its the same as playing music and hitting all the wrong notes, just because you might not have the ear to hear its technically 'wrong' or a mistake, doesnt mean the mistake isnt there. those with trained ears will hear it loud and clear. and i see this mistake as clear as day.![]()
