Disappointing release. At the very least these matte finish steelbooks should be in perfect condition, but when I look closely at the video (The Movie Den), I can sometimes see scratches, scuffs, tiny paint chips and a spine slash. And these are made in Denmark, so the Euro steelbooks will be the same.

I think those thick German mediabooks look much better. They should have used those artworks on the steelbooks with full gloss finish. It's too bad I only bought the mediabook for the first film. Really wish I had gotten the whole set.
It Is just a question of (short) time from now that they will re-release those Mediabook as 4k... Listen to the words of a wise man...

That's perfect then, stick the media books in the library case, sell the streaky matte steels, the perfect solution.

Yeah, I'm hoping for that too.. I mean they release every other crappy movie there, multiple times, so these bound to get at least one more edition!

They won't fit, they're called mediabooks because they're G1 size, like DVDs (at least that's the only difference that I see from digibooks).

Just do some trimming with some scissors, it'll look great I'm sure.

Glad I didn't get excited for this. Meh finish. Lot's of the fronts look off without the titles. Spine titles of 1, 6 & 7 are too high, and they didn't even bother with a new matching rear for #1.

Unless this goes for crazy cheap at some point, I'll just stick with the CE for #1. I only really like 3 & 7 from the rest anyway.

They're also thicker, do you propose to rip off a cover or two as well? :OMG:

Or do you just dislike mediabooks that much?
I don't really care for mediabooks, no idea why but that's besides the point, I'm just trying to cope with the ****** finish on these steels. I'll get over it, don't worry. ;)

Anyone else experiencing quality control issues with these sets? Even though they are packaged well I have found a small dent. I presume it was out of production this way.

Some of the library steel cases in sets like these will always have dents. Just like SteelBooks.

Manufacturers and retailers are still always going to ship them out because a lot of people might be a bit bothered by them but can live with them anyway especially when they are sold out and can't get replacements for them.

That's just the way it is and will always be.

You can see some damage on some of the first videos posted, so it seems pretty normal in this case.
