As long as the consumer can return it by claiming that they are unsatisfied and it wasn't what they purchased, there shouldn't be that much risk involved for them right?

That "artwork subject to change" is their get out clause. You would have to pay postage to return it.

Under UK law it is 100% on the company selling to provide you with full details of what you are purchasing "that covers, artwork subject to change" if it arrives different from as advertised then it is at Zavvi's full expense to take it back including them covering postage costs. Now that only applies to those buying from within the UK. That law doesn't apply to those buying from abroad.

Wish I knew about that when Amazon did the Man of Steel steelbook and showed the confirmed artwork without the "3D" on the front, even well after release.

Already have. Sent a steel back to them and they reimbursed the cost and postage. I find with Zavvi it's best to treat them with contempt and threaten them. They always comply with me.

I'm the same and always manage to return if the image don't match the product image and if I'm not happy with it. Barely get an grief with it either becuause my first message will always have all info included to them

Be a shame if it is matte. That artwork looks like it would be awesome in gloss. Maleificent style
