Agreed. It would certainly put me off. The spine title direction would also be an issue for me; I know in the past that German steels have had the title running bottom-to-top rather than top-to-bottom. Hopefully none of this will be the case.
Looks good with the spot gloss reprising the two images from the previous two standalones . . . but for the International crowd the problem will be the printed "DIE KOMPLETTE SERIE" in bold on the front.
Thanks to the spot-gloss it could be argued that this steelbook looks better than the U.K. matte steelbooks despite the German edition's lack of 'bossing (title and logo on S 1, title on S 2).
The standalones' artwork REALLY needed spot gloss - and what a difference it makes!!! - and that is the major disappointment for me as the artwork on both steels is so dark and needs this lovely gloss kick.
This steelbook . . . classy . . . definitely!
