I know I said I hated the art and I would avoid it, but my copy arrived today ...

In all fairness, i'm quite pleased with it in hand. Would of loved some debossed American Psycho title action going on in the front, but otherwise the inside artwork / disc art and high gloss finish make up for it. Feels like a solid steelbook not like Django Unchained flimsy steel.

What do you ninjas think ?

Fairly sure this one ain't selling out anytime soon ... but who knows? may be it will. Either way I think it was worth the pre-order price now that I have it in hand.

Don't know what this means, but the disc says 15th Anniversary Edition and there are quite a lot of special features in it: 2 x Audio commentaries, Deleted scenes with directors commentary, The 80s Downtown, American Psycho from Book to Screen - including the pornography of killing, a video essay by holly willis

My phone didn't capture it properly. It's red with with blood splatters to match the disc art.

EDIT 10.30AM: Received it. Love it. 9/10.
As noted above this is an off-white steelbook and certainly not as white as EX-MACHINA for example
Though initially slightly put off by the head carrying over onto the top edge of the steel in the style of Salvador Dali's melting clocks (as seen in his "Persistence of Memory" painting) I appreciate now that it is better this way instead of cutting off the top half of the head without the continuation over the lip of the steel

It's not the whitest white you will ever see, if you need a comparison it is pretty close to Clerks & American Graffiti.
