This is madness (Madness? This is Sparta!) I've never seen Zavvi wait this long without any art or pre-orders going live before. Really wondering what's going on. At this rate it looks like it might just go live for sale on the 23rd, or even be backdated.

Don't worry they do it all the time.
It took ages for Drag Me To Hell to have its artwork released and we are still waiting on Dredd too.

Think of the poor Dead Mans Shoes fanbase. Now that is long overdue.... still waiting very very patiently for artwork. I'm just glad I didn't sell my amaray just yet.

I'd totally forgotten about that one... I hope it still happens! Another one that was announced a while ago is Le Grand Bleu/The Big Blue... still no info on that either.

I agree about the website, but I did mash it up quickly. Thanks for the vote of confidence. I took an image from the internet and cloned CC's image of the business card/holder over it (that has the web address on it). It's not easy manipulating images when you have paws...and now I'm thinking, did they ever release videotapes in steelbook?

And now I'm on a roll I wonder, maybe if I contacted the studio I could pull the rug from under Zavvi and release it myself (with the artwork antpic14 liked)...

Once the website is removed the AMERICAN PSYCHO text is a little too high on the card. It either needs to move down slightly (beyond my image skills for a good effect) or - and this may offend some - you could perhaps add CHRISTIAN BALE or STARRING CHRISTIAN BALE at the bottom...

Not perfect color grading or centering....
(I needed more time, plus believe it or not, I'm only using MS PAINT and PHONTO!!),
But I like using Bateman's Logo.

..and yes only the back has the title....because psycho.

No one (especially Zavvi!) is gonna make a cover that violent looking. It just wouldn't happen. You potentially alienate or scare off possible customers, and moreover- It is really not at all representative of the film itself.
AP is not a violent movie full of blood. It is a satire.

Obviously Zavvi would never use this bloody of a cover for a steelbook, but personally, I think this is the PERFECT representation of the film. Yes, this film is very satirical, but so is GT's artwork. The guy is whistling and skipping with a chainsaw in his hands for crying out loud! The front cover is one of the most iconic pictures of Patrick Bateman and, in my opinion, the epitome of who the character is. And the title on the back? Pure genius if you ask me!!! As USUAL, WELL DONE @Geek Tragedy !!!

I've never seen any artwork for this that I like, although I dig the movie! I don't think I'll be impressed, unless they go with something newly commissioned. Which I'd never usually say.

I don't think there is anything bad about GT's Art. I'm just saying that in the world we live in- you will never see a steelbook with a cover like that on your store shelf, and as a retailer you would expect to turn off possible customers and lose sales. I did a mock up with both images earlier in this thread- but for the inside art- so obviously I have no problem with the images being emblematic of the piece-just not the cover.
