Seems like Zavvi's damned if they do, damned if they don't. I'm just glad we have a site (with free shipping) that gives us the choice of so many Steelbooks.

Nobody's asking anyone to buy every single Steelbook. Simply just buy the ones you want/need. At least we're getting the opportunity.

100+ in a community of over 15000 at the moment is not a lot. Besides same 1 disc release is getting boring. Mix it up a bit.......quite honestly I don't see some of these releases as upgrades. More of a downgrade considering what you get with normal releases. Where is BB and FS. Bring back premium steels.

We're only six months into 2013 though and already Zavvi are only 10 behind the number Play released in 2012. At the rate they're going they are well on track to surpass Play already this year.

We may only be 6 months into the year but a lot of Zavvi's steelbook total are yet to be released, (most of my preorders to come have release dates in Aug/Sep/Oct, so they are included in that '10 behind Play' total) so Id say come the end of the year the totals of actual released steelbooks will probably be about the same...maybe slightly higher but not significantly

thats exactly the point. look how many releases we got from jan-may, 2 in total. so a year isn't the right period of time to measure...

don't get me wrong, i love zavvi for all these great releases but saying the amount is near as the same compared to play isn't correct if you ask me.

Most likely a pass for me. However its one of my favourite comedies and i dont own it on Blu Ray funnily enough. It just doesnt feel like a Steelbook type of film to me. Plus theres Zavvis overcharging which helps in my decision not to get it. Had this been a £9.99/£10.99 Play.Com release i may have been more tempted.

Play.com had release a similar amount last year until their first wave on May 28th, so it's a very valid comparison.

As excited as I am for this, I'm kind of hoping that some of these steelbooks are going to be released in December/next year. Already got a bunch of pre-orders in so I don't want to break the bank.

Still, if this comes earlier I'll just cancel something else and get this. How could I not?

Fingers crossed for Rich Mahogany edition...was about to buy the 2-disc amaray (comes as regular so hope this does too!) but will hold off until we get news. Please just give us 2-disc!
