u have gotta be joking? thor, captain america, guardians of the galaxy UE and rocket and groot? these look way better than any nova lenti. rocket and groot blufans beats any nova lenti by miles. the sharpness, pop and clarity makes it one of the finest lentis ever

Completely agree. Blufans made a grand comeback on these. When Blufans gets it right they make sure that it is the best.

Patience is Virtue with Blufans. It is easy to critique Blufans but we have to remember that they set the trend.

Other retailers are quickly catching up but they lead the pack when it comes to WEA.

Can't touch blufans when they get it right. Just a nice, well made, beefy, thick package overall.

And the most bang for your buck award goes to FilmArena. Top notch quality for half the price of these asian retailers.

In terms of damaged goods award (from my own personal experience).

Zavvi gets first place. Followed by Blufans (received quite a few damaged steels and bent fullslips from them - may be this is why they don't hold their value well ?) and then HDZeta.

Nova over Blufans for me

Blufans rules when it comes to WEA but if you're happy with the WWA then Nova's overall packages destroy Blufans - better lenti images, art books over photo cards and maybe an unfair comparison but Nova's full slips are generally fantastic as well

And I couldn't agree less. Thor and CA were terrible lenti's, Thor in particular is ridiculously bad. There's decent depth and for Blufans, it's actually quite clear, but the perspective is awful.

R&G is very good for Blufans, but it's still not a patch on most of Nova's. Plus, Blufans packages aren't great, their slips are at best full gloss, but Nova, FA, Kimchi etc actually emboss their slips. IMO, Blufans GOTG is their best overall package, but until they get better lenti's and any level of QC (I've only ever had about 3 orders that had no problems), Blufans are about 4th or 5th in the pecking order. The only area they excel in is the WEA arena.

Anyway, to each their own.

The only Blufans lenti I had was Oz, Great & Powerful and it makes Zavvis lentis look like Nova IMO! Very disappointing.

All my Novamedia lentis are flawless. I couldn't pick a bad one.

i agree quality control on blufans is not great and the slipcovers are average. nova produce WAY better slips but when it comes to lentis and lentis only i think blufans marvel are better than novas, but thats just my opinion.

@NoDingsNoScratches what do u think :D

My friend....to say "quality control on blufans is not great" is the understatement of the year. Blufans QC is about the same as Target, I'm sorry to say it...

Nova QC isn't that great, better than Blufans, but still not great. You must not have many, and also must have just gotten lucky. I've heard people say similar things about Zavvi, LOL.

For the retail price vs resell price, NOVA is the WINNER. Blufans retail prices are stupid expensive and their huge saturated print runs make their exlcusive barely even worth the retail cost on the second hand market!!

For best lenticular image, NOVA is the WINNER! They both have some grails, as well as some shitters. But if I had to pick just one of them to buy from, it would be NOVA. I have more Nova lentis, like Cap2, John Wick, Avengers, and now Ant-Man!

We need to stop brown nosing these asian retailers. They seem to only repay our loyalty by increasing their prices.

And stop comparing What's got the best resale value.
Who gives a **** unless your a scalper.

I own steels that go for silly money on the bay and they are crappy looking steels and I never understand why they go for so much except possibly a more limited release and I've paid a lot less for more higher demanded priced steels from eBay (example - about a year ago got serenity for about £5, kick ass for £5, American werewolf in London for about £6 and the thing for £8 and they all go for silly money) it's all personal value and I don't value my steels the way people on eBay do

It's the nature of our hobby to buy & sell, so one has to factor these things in. I sell things sometimes, but it doesn't make me a scalper :p

really hope the yellowjacket is on the back of the lenticular slip :naughty::thumbs::hungry:
Ant_Man_Yellowjacket.jpg

I'm swaying more in hope for Thomas the tank engine lol

But yellow jacket would be cool (or a shot of them both fighting)

Fair dos, I wasn't actually pointing you out as a scalper but you mentioned it a few times so was just calling you out a little.

Yeah I sell things too at times (not just steels) but always start small priced and if people fight for the win and massively overpay me then that's fine by me but I never made them pay that price or not given them the option.

Some crazy Mo-Fos on the bay from both sides

@Flloydo

You're not very business minded are you. You obviously sell for fun. If I decide to sell something, it's for profit or to break even. It's against my nature to otherwise even bother putting an item up for sale. Be that a steelbook or an unused item in my garage.

To be honest I am actually and I usually only sell stuff that's old (not steel related) that I don't need anymore like a bundle of DVDs (not gona go for much anyway) or if I get a damaged steel that don't need to be returned (say Amazon).

I sold my open Zavvi avengers age of ultron after I got a nova pre order in to quickly half cover the funds and it went for well over what I paid and that started at £9.99. I also had a 75% off final value fees (my business mind kicking in).
Give them the chance and they will battle it out until it's a high price which I find odd but it works if you need to shift something.
But I give them the chance to get it for cost (or less) if it works out that way. Aslong as I get what I paid for it or if it's old I understand it will go for less as its second hand.
I don't sell many steels because I keep all mine so like I said only damaged items or if I get a nova version and need to sell the Zavvi/uk version. I actually feel a little guilty and bad if someone bids higher on a product than what i paid for it

The at/near/or bellow cost of items in my sale thread confirm I'm not a scalper, but resell value does play big part in collectibles...

This hobby is also a business for most of the people involved, it's sad to say but we sell Blu Rays so we could buy more Blu Rays! Lol

I always forget about the sale thread. I'll have to check it out (not to make sure your telling the truth lol)

It's very true or I get rid off/sell the blu Rays after I get the steel lol mad world
