I think this, and Prince of Darkness are the best of the John Carpenter steelbooks. I'd grab this one if I didn't already have the Scream release, and the uk Anniversary edition.

I love Prince of Darkness and Assault on Precinct 13, but The Thing is another level and untouchable

Loving these Shout steel releases.
Are they gonna do a clean sweep of the big John Carpenter titles in this style? I can't see it with BTILC and The Thing both recently getting releases again. Plus art was already used for an Amaray slip of The Thing.

Heard about this HDwow today. Going to keep an eye on them. I don't have blu ray versions of the Scream Factory steelbooks to replace the discs with so that could be an issue. lol

No its not a cardbaord box, more like Corrugated Cardboard shrink-wrapped over the item. Very similar to the packaging "all_your_music" use. Its not the best packaging in the world, but for that price I thought I would take the risk.

WowHD use that packaging a lot for Blu-ray's

It's ok for amarays most times but risky for steelbooks
If dropped in transit you be very lucky if steelbook arrived undamaged

If they get wet amaray slipcovers can arrive not in good shape as I had some arrived soaked due been in contact with rain

Good to see your steelbook arrived ok but I personaly would not risk using them for steelbooks

Sometimes it's a cardboard box it can vary and depends on amount of units ordered and the warehouse shipped from

My previous shout factory steelbooks order last year amazon usa used box within a larger box but that was an order of 4 different steelbooks in one order
