Sorry, but this is not on! This sort of thing is what ruins the hobby of collecting for everyone! I understand that titles get re-issued all the time, but SteelBooks are supposed to be a PREMIUM and LIMITED EDITION product - Not churned out continuously! Once a certain title sells out, that should be it! No re-issues, no re-prints, nothing! By all means release the title as a DigiBook or some other format, but they shouldn't re-print existing SteelBooks, different artwork or otherwise!
The studios have already pulled this stunt for several other titles (Star Trek and some Marvel titles spring to mind), albeit offering a significant change in artwork and number of discs (in most cases), but I don't wish to see this sort of thing becoming standard practice whenever a particular title sells out and becomes sought after. After all, that is half the fun of collecting.
Basically they're giving SteelBook collectors a two finger salute as if they're saying, "We can print what we please and devalue your collection in the process. Muwahaha!"
The Robocop announcement was bad enough, but at least that's a remastered version, so that can perhaps be excused. However, unless this re-issue of Bad Boys is a remaster, then they shouldn't waste their time - ESPECIALLY when most people would prefer to have a Bad Boys II SteelBook instead!
