A mutant with massive needle-like teeth and forearm-situated blades, Baraka is introduced as a loyal minion of Shao Khan; he is later designated as a member of the nomadic Tarkata species, a mixture of Outland denizen and Netherrealm demon. In the 2011 Mortal Kombat, Baraka survives the Ritual of Blood and ascends to the rank of Enforcer, a favored servant of Shao Khan.
