I know everyone feels Zavvi lies on these numbers, but it actually sounds reasonable. There's always a pre-order rush and then it slows dramatically thereafter once the stragglers who forgot the date or respond to the low stock e-mails trickle in. Probably the same for most releases.

Yes, that sounds like a traditional sales pattern to me as well i.e. an initial rush that then tails off.
