In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever.

Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady's uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise. The addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City.

Batman: Arkham Knight is based on DC Comics' core Batman license and will be available exclusively for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Windows PC. The game is scheduled for release worldwide in 2014.

Apparently GameStop have received promotional material for what many assume is for the new Batman game being headed by the original developers, Rocksteady. Ready to take the dive into Gotham so soon?

Dispatched!!!
Lucky sod! :p

I've just managed to order the Statue Edition after my order for the Batmobile Edition was cancelled (they even cancelled the Red Hood Edition they'd offered me as a replacement, saying there was a payment problem... but my details are all up-to-date o_O), and now they announce that the Statue is delayed!? :banghead:

Let me know what you think

I'm about 6 hours in round about 40% on the main story. Loving it so far, although there maybe just a little bit too much Batmobile action, which is the down point for me. The controls take some getting used to, but it is good fun at the same time. Loving the story line too! I keep dipping out to do the odd side quest, then go straight back into the main story. Well worth £38!!

Downloading mine now, but it's taking a while... really hoping I'll actually get to play it today!

You did a lot already mate! I only played for 1 hour or so ... But I totally agree about the Batmobile thing. Too much IMO. I like roaming on foot or gliding around :) But the game is pretty good and fun to play.

The Batmoible is optional as transportation right? You can glide around the city at anytime.I know the Batmobile is needed for some puzzles through out the game, but didn't think they would force it on us.

The last mission I've completed last the Batmobile was mandatory, and I believe it will have a lot more like that. Apparently the open world in this game is 10 times bigger than Arkham City, so driving around will speed up reaching the mission points.

Yeah, there's a fair bit where you **have** to use the batmobile and IMO there's just a little too much. Other than that, the game is awesome!!

I find the integration of the batmobile to be a lot of fun. I'm not a big fan of racing/driving games, so I'm basically playing pinball down the streets of Gotham (thank god there are no innocents around). But I really like the amount you get/have to use it. There have been a lot of instances where, after using it for part of the mission, I've left it behind and glided to my next quest though. Obviously, this is a "to each his own" kind of situation, but I'm a big fan of getting to use the batmobile and how much they've allowed (and at times forced) you to use it. I'm only 10-15% of the main story into it, but this game is going to be hard to beat as the game of the year for me personally.

I've gotta say, after playing the game and seeing the batmobile in action, I'm only that much more pissed that they canceled the statue...

Had mine downloading all day yesterday and even left it to do it's thing overnight... woke up this morning expecting it to be done, but it's STILL going! I almost can't be bothered with this game any more. Roll on Fallout 4!

I have it for XboxOne and after about 3 hours of updates and downloading. I was finally able to play it. Of course I dont know why I bother buying games anymore. they don't come with instructions like the good ole days. So I have no idea what I am doing.
