Because the exotic-looking Chinese text brings a spark of excitement to my exceedingly boring, parochial existence.

major (n) to this.

exotic? maybe in the eyes of some, but to me it just looks like chinese text.

the clean spine with english only is a very smart decision.

i say again, this is not a chinese movie. it is filmed with the actors speaking english as the primary language.

Exactly if this was a foreign movie then I would expect it to be in a foreign text.

Its not about the film but rather where it is released from. Although an American film, it is a Chinese release. It gives it character and a uniqueness to the release. I believe all their other releases have the bilingual titles.

The steelbook market is worldwide, and the customer base is multinational, which transcends a particular country of release. Due to the ridiculous restrictions and red tape of various countries (especially the US), these other countries have a huge advantage to produce and distribute these blockbuster movies in premium steelbook packaging, but the primary customer base has almost nothing to do with the region of release.

In other words, the vast majority of buyers of these releases from Chinese companies like HDZeta and Blufans are not in China. I guarantee you that most get shipped to the US and UK where English is the national language. Probably a lot to Canada too.

That's why other foreign retailers like FilmArena and Novamedia and KimchiDVD put their text in English.

HDZeta may have had a good 2016 but this release is a good example of a missed opportunity as it has no kind of embossing or debossing for the hefty price tag. If UK released exactly the same Steelbook for 21.99, people will make a huge fuss about high price.

Now go to Blufans threads, you will see most of them given embossed or debossed treatment. Look at Civil War, it is embossed on the front and I think debossed on the back. This is where Blufans outperforms the rest. I know these are different Studios, but Blufans still try to make the best by offering something unique.

Yes but as always it would've been the studios decision. How do we not know that HDZeta didn't ask for approval on em/debossing and that DC/WB said no.

Still for me this is WEA and that's the biggest thing that matters (to me). I'm not that bothered about the lack of em/debossing as the overall package looks superb.

Overall package looks superb but look at your PayPal transaction and see how much you paid in £.

For the asking price. It should have been like GotG Blufans nothing short of spectacular and no cutting corners.

Embossed/debossed, spot gloss no spot gloss, foreign text on package no foreign text on package. Your not going to please everybody, every thread I go into someone is griping about something they should have done or shouldn't have done. Yes you have the right to your opinion. But I also notice that the ones that are complaining are the ones in the minority and that 90% of the people are happy with what they are getting and usually happier once they have the product in hand.

90% of the 90% who are happy attain pleasure by looking at the pics. They don't even open them lol. FACT.

Next they will ask $80 for embossing. End of the day the majority will succumb to sky high prices.

With there only being 3 other editions French, Italy, and the WWA that the majority of the universe owns. It's nice to see someone trying to give us new artwork for this movie. And I like what I see. I'm sure someone down the line will do another WEA that may appease everybody.
