Anything batman Related and i'am like a kid on Christmas :)
I'm just like you I like the D.C. Films, I've been collecting the different versions of man of steel, Batman V Superman, Suicide Squad, and will continue with Wonder Woman, My set isn't complete yet still need a few steelbooks, Graphic Novels / W Blu Ray, and the digibooks. Just grabbing a little at a time.

Embossed/debossed, spot gloss no spot gloss, foreign text on package no foreign text on package. Your not going to please everybody, every thread I go into someone is griping about something they should have done or shouldn't have done. Yes you have the right to your opinion. But I also notice that the ones that are complaining are the ones in the minority and that 90% of the people are happy with what they are getting and usually happier once they have the product in hand.

That sentence is actually bloody right.

But I noticed something different: WEA with emboss/deboss and gloss pleases many people
I can't tell you the exact percentage as we never had a poll about it ;)

The perctage was a guess of course based on how many I usually see complain about it, would I prefer embossed/debossed absolutely, but it's not the deal breaker, either I like or don't like the artwork first and foremost, and the next thing is the price and what I'm getting for that price, is it worth it to me. I get that everyone's wants and needs are different. But like @cooey said they may have wanted to but weren't able to because of studio approval.

No, not a deal breaker. The overall package is still good enough to keep. Just disappointed as it could have been better.

And no, I,'m not pointing my finger at HDzeta, but whoever is responsible for this decision

Overall package looks superb but look at your PayPal transaction and see how much you paid in £.

For the asking price. It should have been like GotG Blufans nothing short of spectacular and no cutting corners.

When you bang on about price mate you're talking to the wrong person. Cutting it short and plain - I don't care

As for cutting corners, again you don't know the reasoning behind not having it. Looking at HDZetas past record I would say it's more of a studio decision to not have the de/emboss than HDZetas decision. And whether it has it or not is never going to affect the price point.

I for one think that we should not speculate on whether HDzeta pushed for embossing/debossing or not. I for one do prefer it and think it gives that little extra touch that I like. But without knowing what they were trying to go for we should not slate them after all they may have tried really hard to push for this type of finish and were refused.

I just hope it's nice and glossy if we're not getting any bossing. The pictures make it look like it has that faux gloss almost matte. :(

I imagine this will remain the definitive version of this release for most people. Much like with HDzeta's Mad Max boxset, I don't think anyone will surpass the overall quality of this release. The slips all look top-notch and HDzeta's boxes themselves are best in class, imo.

That said, I really do wish both the Mad Max and B v S steels featured 'bossing of some sort. I think even a simple debossing of the title would be enough to solidify this as being given the full premium steel treatment, but its absence leaves just the slightest feeling that maybe this could have been better. I don't mind paying premium prices for premium releases, but I'd certainly hand over my money more readily if I felt every steel (and slip for that matter) was finished accordingly.

Don't get me wrong, I still can't wait to get my hands on the one-click, but there's no doubt in my mind that this and the Mad Max boxset would be sitting unquestionably at the very top of my 'best of 2016 list' if the steels had received the same 'bossing featured on HDzeta's superb Terminator steelbooks.

Perhaps @cooey is right and the studio didn't sign off on 'bossed artwork. HDzeta's other Warner releases (Interstellar, Mad Max) are also flat, so maybe WB really is 'boss blocking.

In this day and age, there is nothing called definitive edition. Studios like to re-release popular films to death. Who knows, one day the same Steelbooks will be re-released somewhere else for a quarter of this price.

What fantasy world of sunshine and rainbows are you living in where beautiful WEA steelbooks like HDzeta's Gladiator are rereleased for a fraction of the original cost?!? I implore you to answer, my good sir! :pompus:

You should head over to Amazon Italy sometime. You can get the Gladiator steel cheap...

https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B01LTHLYQQ/?tag=hidefnin0f-21

and it was already available for less... And it is identical to the HDZETA one
That was the joke, friend. ;)

It's a fantastic deal for those who missed out on the original release (and don't want to fork out big bucks for it on eBay). I can see owners of the original HDzeta release being a bit sour about it. Though I did chuckle a bit at the karmic justice of the Italians ripping off a Chinese product for once instead of the other way around.

Blufans customers faced a similar situation when Zavvi released their embossed version of the Oz steel. In the extremely unlikely case that someone rereleases this B v S steel with 'bossing, I'll be first in line to place a preorder.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand! I can't wait to see both lenti editions in action. HDzeta's transition lentis were okay on the Terminator series, but I really enjoyed the depth of their Mad Max editions more. Bring on the live shots!:woot:
