Afraid to say not too difficult to find the Play.com steelbook "New and Sealed" for under 25 quid today:-
Exactly why I snapped up the £38 offer...was going to let it go for £25-30 or above as it purely a collectable at present, but if it’s keeps dropping i’ll keep hold as it’s too nice a set to just sell off so cheap.
Even though I don’t think I’ve watched more than the extras since getting it back in 2012....

I guess I half want to keep it anyway....it’s a movie in the grey area where despite having not watched it in the last two years, not being MCU, Kevin Smith, Tarentino or Disney (those are the parameters / rules I set for selling movies: few ‘sets’ or had to have watched in last 24 months else it goes - only movie I re-bought was Iron Man for the extras disc, so serves me well)

Just pre-ordered  Actually think it looks really nice

Cover art would look soooo much better without the English Battle Royale font on the front and just the Japanese kanji running down the middle.

Ughhh... Region B?
Yes it's Region B locked

Battle Royale Blu-ray arrow video first edition release in 2010 was region free

Arrow video second edition and later reissues from 2011 are Region B locked

This new steelbook release is 1 Disc
Theatrical Version
Same disc 1 that was in previous releases from 2011

I’m really happy with this- the artwork is new. And I’ve always considering getting this film- but The prevalence of the simple “BR” logo kind of prevented me from getting in the past just because I wasn’t too fond of the red text over black background type of design.

Its lovely in-hand, the finish is really good & the colour is proper vibrant - I mean a debossed title would've been amazing but I love this film and the more Arrow editions the better. Plus it was under £20 which is rare enough these days

Hmm, it does look good and vibrant afterall, was expecting more blend and boring steelbook. Still not a fan of that title style, but probably grab it anyway as I really love this film too...thanks for photo buddy

Haven't bought this yet but wondering how many times I have to buy the same old film (rhetorical question) . . . what with the number of releases in the UK it's got to be up there with some of the most released films in the UK.

"Mountain of corpses" artwork seems inspired by this Rob Fuller poster itself inspired by this Beat Takashi painting as seen in the movie ...

Charming cover leaves the new viewer in no doubt as to what the film is about . . . unlike the first steelbook cover which gave little hint as to content - aside from a few clues (lol) including:-
*"SURVIVAL PROGRAM" (with American spelling) * the title of course, * the dripping blood and *the laurel wreath bringing to mind Ancient Rome and gladiators:-

Seems stingy giving us 1-disc for 16 quid - especially when you got 3 inside the previous UK steelbook for about 12 quid - but on the other hand and as someone's already mentioned it's nice to see a quality steelbook for this price instead of 25 - 30 quid.

V. happy they kept the B&W class photo (familiar to those of us of a certain age) for the inside:-

I'm very surprised this never got a premium release from any of the Asian retailers.

Maybe there's one more re-release left in it yet? (Along with Oldboy!!!) :p
