Received mine today from Amazon in a thin cardboard mailer, luckily no damage. Steelbook looks great, I guess the studio had to boost there sales some how with the movie not being anything special lol.

Got mine in card too, mine has what looks like a small vertical dent on the raised border alongside the title but can't tell I'd it is a dent or just a glitch in the colouring? Anyone else have this?

Ive said it before....this is hands down the worst movie i have seen in years....pretentious and characters lack any sort of life. Hated the movie so much...i just cant have it on my shelf sitting next to all my good movies. Seriously if anyones still undecided...believe ur better off spending ur hard earnt money on the play exclusives over this dull turd.

same here, but i guess thats what we get when we order from amazon.uk for getting it cheaper. but the steelbook is great, very like Irom man steelbook. i wonder why Universal decided not to go horizontal with this, will we see future universal new release steelbooks like this and the re-release's has horizontal steelbooks.

Amazon sent mine loose in a big box and it had paint chips as a result. Also sent me the I robot that was in proper packaging but the damn tin looked like it was kicked about the warehouse...shockingly bad condition - now i'm cancelling a few preorders and switching to play...

Also received in Amazon's crappy packaging with a dent and a few small scratches behind the j-card on the back. Really nice steelbook though, and I thought the film was lots of fun too!

I will be returning my damaged version of Battleship back to you tomorrow but i am concerned that my replacment (and future orders) will be sent out again in the flimsly cardboard envelope that my original order arrived it. it offers no protection what so ever to the steelbook inisde. I am confused to why it was sent in this packaging as i have recieved steelbooks before from Amazon in dedicated packaging

Not at all. Amazon usually send in their Steelbook packaging and if they don't, then you know you can rely on their awesome customer service. If it's pennies difference, then fair enough, but for example this is £18.99 now, but I ordered at £14.00 from Amazon. I think that's worth the slight risk of ordering from Amazon.

I've gotten damaged things from Amazon once or twice. They've always replaced them without question. Most of the time, I didn't even have to send the damaged items back!
