Folded posters are a waste of paper, and there's only 2 good cards here.
FYI- up until the 1980s, one-sheet posters were always delivered to movie theaters folded. (Not rolled in tubes)
But I am not a fan of art cards and poster tat in Blu-ray releases (although, at this point- it now seemes like a minor infraction compared to the ridiculousness of Second Sight adding hardback novels with all their releases).

*nobody has mentioned that the actual art on the steelbook itself is terrible.:yuck:

I don't understand the folded posters in slipboxes, because if you were to actually hang up the poster, then you'd have extra space inside the slipbox.

As for this release, when I first saw it, I liked it a lot. Then I saw the cost of shipping it to the US, and I paused. And now I like it less and less. I don't care for the steelbook, and I'm not sure the previous French steelbook (pure class) would look right in this set. I do like classic lobby cards, but . . . only two? And then a few costume sketches? It feels halfhearted. If the booklet is mostly stills from the film, then that's another missed opportunity. I think I'll skip this one and be content with the previous steel.

I think this one of those times when the better move is to get the amaray as cheaply as possible- and disc swap the 4k disc into the previous (better) steelbook.
At least that's my take.

I think you're right but the old steel isn't especially cheap, I couldn't find any copies for less than the cost of the new CE. So those who already have it are set but if I'm going to drop £100 on something I'd rather get an actual premium of a different film.

Which one?

The 2013 was part of a steelbook wave with original poster art—Casablanca, Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Maltese Falcon, North by Northwest, maybe a couple others. (I think those were all the same wave of releases.) They hold up because of the art, though there's nothing special about the finish of steels. The 2016 Ben-Hur is really nice—good embossing.

Hi @paulboland this will come in warner's white box. Wondering if the Italian version of this will come in a white box or is that just a UK thing.
I expect it will in regards to uk release
Warner UK even used white WB branded box on some recent SteelBook only releases

The WB boxes apply to UK releases

Italy releases might not use them

Yeah, I ordered that Italian version for about £40, which is much better, one could say an old price of 2023 or something...
I wrote this in another thread a while back. Warner has a really weird pricing logic when it comes to these editions, I really don't get it.
'Amadeus' LE (4K disc only without blu-ray, steelbook without any sort of treatment) cost 60 Euros without discount
'Lethal Weapon' LE (4K + BluRay + even a PET slip and debossing on the steelbook) cost 35 euros without discount
'Ben Hur' back to 60 where I ordered it
