Just got my Dad a Kindle - this is the one with "special offers" right?

Im going to say that yes it is. The special offers is like small adds for books at a low price at the bottom or top corner . Usually you have to pay more not to get them. But my dad loves it and he has actually purchased a few "special offer " books on his kindle.

They only show up when you are not reading so it does not mess you up.

a buddy of mine tried one of their "special offers." Nearly got himself lobotomized. Don't f with your brain, pal. It ain't worth it.


Went to Best Buy around 3 this afternoon and noticed they had put the new Argo SE & Hangover Trilogy out ahead of release (this Tuesday). Scoured the cart looking for Wolverine, but no dice.

Also, it does look like the OOP Batman digibook is making a comeback. Five new copies at that location.
