not steel related, but BB automatically refunded me $5 and change a few days ago when The Wolverine 3D was reduced in price. Pretty cool of BB to do this.

Hey guys, does best buy have "Pre-order Price Guarantee!" like Amazon? The blu-ray that I ordered price is going down at the moment but it didn't change in my order so do I need to cancel and re-order?... thanks guys :)

I believe that they do have pre-order price guarantee. And I think best but only charges the money when they ship it! So what you're seeing in your bank account right now is probably a pending transaction!
But if you want to make sure, you can always contact best but customer service or like you said, simply cancel and preorder again!

Maybe it's just me but Best Buy is limiting orders. For Noah, I had two sets of 3 on order (I do this so I can get at least 1 or 2 mint copies). I ordered when they were $22.99 and now they are $19.99.

I wanted to order another set of 3 (and cancel one set) at the lower price, but because I already have two sets of three on order, when I try to order one I get this message:

Sorry, the item could not be added to your cart. You've already added the maximum-allowed quantity.
Either they flagged my account (I don't know why they would), or they are starting to limit online orders which sucks BIG TIME because of their crappy packaging.

After today's **** storm with Mad Max: Fury Road, I ended up canceling my Avengers preorders because I have no faith in Best Buy to not do the same ****. I'd rather order from bestbuy.com and have them ship to my house and go in for a price adjustment, than preorder and not be able to secure a copy of something I paid for.

I finally got someone in my local store to chat about the in store pre-orders that I had placed. This person was the "warehouse stocking" manager or something like that. lol

So I got them to admit that they only got 4 copies at the store. But they had 10 pre-order cards for in store reservation.

Fail #1.

Then they told me that the pre-order card had the wrong item listed, and that I had ordered the regular amaray case, that person at the check out scanned the wrong SKU.

Fail #2.

The SKU on the pre-order card, which clearly stated steelbook over 20 times, matched the one and ONLY SKU that was scanned on the pre-order card.

They received "my reserved" amaray copies yesterday afternoon at the store. Did I still want the copies I pre-ordered?

Fail #3.

And finally, they told me multiple times there was nothing they could do, the items weren't available (deleted) and that it was a first come, first serve mentality...and that the pre-order card did not guarantee the copy.

Not sure why one would pay for it up front if they could not guarantee it...

After 4 phone calls today, 2 visits to the store, yet another visit to get my refund for the pre-order cards in person, which will happen in the next few days...

And from now on, I will only be ordering from online and never again get anything at my local store...

Oh, by the way. Don't wait too long to return your pre-order card & get your refund for Mad Max - on October 1 your pre-payment converts to a "digital copy" purchase and you can no longer get a refund!

@apsmith21 wow, that's ridiculous. I guess their definition of preorder is "give us money for what you want, and hopefully we have anything at all". Isn't the point of preordering to let stores know how many of an item to have on hand for the paying customers? Rather than a money grab for the company and empty promises for the customer.

@GEOLINK

I've had nothing but trouble with the support folks when something goes wrong. And getting a price match over the phone is a nightmare.

Last time I had to do a couple of things I was disconnected with their phone system over 4 times and had to re-explain the problem each time. :(

I ordered the star Wars steels from bestbuy.com and they came in a big plastic bag meant for about 20 steels. No protection for them at all. when i picked it up from the p.o. and saw a massive saggy bag with unprotected steels floating around in it i thought I was doomed. AMAZINGLY they were okay. Attack of the Clones had a small mark on it, but nothing that would make me take it back. The others were okay. But I have ordered from them in the past and received damaged steels due to poor packing. I had to pull the trigger on the SW Steels because it was a major sale I didn't want to miss out on. Feel pretty fortunate with that one.
