Odd that Season 3 has not been announced in steelbook anywhere.

If only I could answer this question... Maybe it just didn't sell well enough?
Even though chances seem slim at the moment, I keep my faith that they will eventually come around and do a steelbook for season three after all.

I’m guessing it’s purely down to sales. If there’s not a profit in it then they won’t make it. It is disappointing for people who have the original series though.

I see the economical reasoning, but as a label, when one starts a product line (like a steelbook edition) for an on-going series, one is committing himself to it.

You may "see" the economical reasoning but the second part of your sentence clearly implies you don't understand it.

I wonder if the reason for disappointing sales is that collectors were uncertain if Sony would commit to releasing future seasons. Ironic if true.

Maybe the best thing to do is to wait until after the show has finished its run.

For me it's the ridiculous prices. 45£ is just too much for a single season.

yes. same reason i haven't bought series 10 of Doctor Who. nearly £50 for just ten episodes. no chance sunshine!!

For Season 1, I paid 20€. For Season 2 I paid I think the full price of 30€.
German versions, of course.

This is exactly why I don't buy steelbooks for current TV shows... you can never be sure if they'll release them for every season.
