Last year me and a friend was pulled out of line 20 people away from check out and accused of cutting in line even thought we were in line for the past hour with the same people in front of us and behind us and they wouldn't witness for us. Had a huge argument with 2 of the cops, people in line and the store managers over this false accusations. Then they moved us to a remote line in the theatre section which had 10 people in line but took 2 hours to check out. Needless to say I was pissed but still got my Kindle and 25+ Blu's. Ready to do it again this year!

A few years ago my wife and I went to a our regular complex, where there is a Target and Best Buy in the same parking lot. We saw a guy selling the tickets he got, after waiting in line what must have been hours and hours. And my brother once told me a story from when he worked in retail 20 years or so ago, that there were people camped out in the Toys R Us parking lot accusing the managerial staff of 'holding back' 'Cabbage Patch Kids'. You can't make this stuff up, lol....

There's almost nothing worth my time for these sales. I used to work at retail and I will tell you that 90% of the stuff being sold is stuff that just sits in warehouses for months on end. There's a few gems here and there, but yeah I just don't even bother.

No need to stand in line anymore with almost all of the deals put on the internet the day before if not earlier. Last time I think I lined up was probably about ten years ago at a staples which was freezing cold in the morning waiting on line, but we got everything we went for.

Years ago, I remember seeing 2 people get into a tug of war over a router at Staples, LOL

LMAO.... thats too much funny in one sentence. Thanks for sharing that one... my sister was hovering over reading the screen as well and got a good laugh out of it right now. Seriously though I think we have all seen stuff like this over the years at sales like these, hence, why I dont go anymore unless absolute desperation takes over some amazing large ticket item that has gobs of money off and I must buy it.

Yeah, we usually go for fun, a few hours after the cray crays have left the building just to witness the madness and mayhem. The 1st year I went I got $900 off my 1st Panasonic Plasma, and the TV never went to that price again, so I was happy. But I am not standing in line for 9 hours for a $3.99 Blu-Ray. But I consider myself a fun and spontaneous person, so if a friend wanted to go for a larger ticket item, and they wanted to stand in line, I would do it would them just for the laughs...offee in hand:) I've never 'camped out', but I don't care if people do, it's up to them. We've seen some crazy lines over the years, but I wouldn't give up my Thanksgiving with family for a router, LOL.
