This is exactly why it's better going via the group buy.

I know not everybody has the money to do so at the time but if you do then don't wait and hope to grab something that looks as good as these. There are lots of people worldwide waiting on it too. These sat for ages available via the group buy yet disappear in seconds on the site. It's a no brainer. Sure, some come back in stock and go again but you have the hassle of having to catch it. I am guessing the one click won't be back though.

If anybody has any insight into this it's just interesting to know the numbers allocated. Presumably there will always be some left behind i.e. sells out then restocked again before selling out for good
(but never really selling out for good as people take away multiple copies to sell on elsewhere).

It's crazy how long these sat untouched for this group buy and all were still available when it closed, then within seconds gone via the website upon going live.
Why else do people wait to obtain via the website other than not having funds available at the time of the group buy?

Because they have time when it goes live and don't want to pay extra fees on an already expensive item.

It's really quite simple
1. Direct order CHEAPER
2. Direct orders ship first usually
3. If something goes wrong you can deal directly with the seller.
4. Combine shipping with other items you may be interested in.

I don't think it's crazy at all actually, but quite expected. This release came out the blue with no advance notice at all. A lot of folks already own the Blufans version and would be happy with that already, but maybe tempted to double-dip given these look so amazing. Going GB route is inevitably more expensive, and nowadays most can order successfully on their own direct from the retailer. The OC for example is just crazy bucks, $252 before shipping bill of around $60 I believe. That in itself would price a lot of people out.
