Plot: King T'Challa returns home from America to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country's new leader. However, T'Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne by factions within his own country as well as without. Using powers reserved to Wakandan kings, T'Challa assumes the Black Panther mantel to join with girlfriend Nakia, the queen-mother, his princess-kid sister, members of the Dora Milaje (the Wakandan 'special forces') and an American secret agent, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war.

Keep the expectations low.

It was ok, but nowhere near as good as reviewers are saying. The fight scenes are choppy as **** and really unsatisfying.
I really wanted to like it a lot, but the fight scenes were really choppy at the final above ground battle. Not sure how they spent 200 million and thought that was okay

A compromise was made between me and my boyfriend... xD
I agreed to see Black Panther if he agreed to see Annihilation.

And all in all- I didn't hate Black Panther.
Decent 6/10. :)

Watched it second time in IMAX on Sat and still enjoyed it but gonna bring it down to 8/10 from my original 9
I'm glad I'm not the only switcher :p

I saw it again on Saturday and I take back what I said when I saw it the first time, I'm bumping it up from the 'meh 6/10' I gave it initially to a 'very good 8/10'

It was only after watching the likes of Ant Man and Doctor Strange again (between my 1st and 2nd viewings of BP) did I realise just how much Black Panther has going for it when compared to the other new hero solo movies
