Blade Trinity getting 4K release too. So that's gonna finally close Blade trilogy on 4K.
when will I be famous 
It's awesome. The reapers were a brilliant creation to up the ante.
I know it's only an opinion but c'mon, player, are you really claiming that Nomak was a more compelling adversary than Deacon Frost? I must emphatically disagree.
Blade 1 i will watch over and over without any hesitation. Blade 2 i have force myself to watch it if I am really desperate.
I have quite a few friends that feel the way you do --- so you won't get an argument from me. However, look at the box office numbers (domestically and overseas), I believe that says it all. Numbers may not give your the entire story, but they don't lie either. Blade 2 rocks: Better action, scary villain and a better movie altogether...again in my opinion. It fit more of the comic book aesthetics the creators/writers of the series were looking for, per David Goyer and Wesley Snipes. That being said, they were both great movies within the Action/Horror genres, which I enjoyed a great deal. Nomak, the head reaper, was terrifying with his Predator mouth (homage to the Predator series)...Too bad Blade 3, Trinity, did not live up to the standards of it's predecessors. I thought it was trying to be a comedy instead of what the series was intended to be, an action/horror movie. Blade 3 was a real disappointment.
Strategically, Decon Frost was a better villain... However, theatrically (and from an action/horror perspective), Nomak hands down.

One last thought before moving on...Nomak's body-count was ridicules: Stand them up, knock em down and stack em up....LOL

Not really, the people that went out to see the film at cinemas didn't know it's quality before watching.
What they did know is the original Blade and they may have not watched it just at the Cinema, but on HomeVideo as well.
So when a sequel was announced more people went to see it at the Cinema.
But yeah I generally a agree II is a better film, but the first is still great as well.
Revenue never tells the entire story. However; it never lies --- either emphatic or not. "Once they finish with us, who do you think they'll turn on next (rhetorical)? Your preceious humans, not one of them will be left".

Box office is a measure of how many people SAW a movie.
It is not a measure of how many people LIKED a movie.
If 12 Million people pay to see a movie- and those 12 million people disliked the movie- the box office is still $100 Million.
