I pre-ordered this supposed re-release for a friend, and received today a cancelation notice from HMV:

The above item has unfortunately been removed from the release schedule and is no longer due to be released by our suppliers. As such, we are unable to fulfil your order for this item and have had to cancel the order.

Just wanted to follow up on this, that they did not actually cancel the preorder on the site - that notification email must have been an error, and today eventually charged for, and mailed out the steelbook.
