Artwork looks great, if if had just had a gloss finish this would have been fantastic. The colours look too dull with a matte finish.

I agree. And it's £6 overpriced. Not worth more than £9.99.

I wonder how much extra cost is involved in adding gloss. Unless it costs £3 - £4 extra per steel then it really is stupid that so many turn up with a horrible matte finish as these nearly always end up being sold of at a fraction of the original price.

I believe Wreck said there is a difference but it is relatively small. You would have thought they would use gloss more often if there wasn't too much difference in price. I'm guessing for the studio it's all about keeping the costs as low as possible though.

That could very well be the case, but as a result they may be losing sales or losing sales at a higher price. There are many collectors who much prefer gloss finish and are quite happy to wait for a significant price drop for a long time (or skipping the release altogether).
