All this fuss about sealed editions...if its MINT and comes with the good disc whats the problem? All this hesitation then will lead to missing out on the product as whole.

the problem is the OCD collectors who dont own them, if they prefure a sealed and mint copy then thats there choice. If you can get a sealed copy for 14.00 then id grab one and use it for a trade.

If you can get a sealed copy at £17 IMO it's still worth picking up. The girl in the Edinburgh store told me they, the staff I guess, didn't want to open them all . They just hand you the new disc in a sleeve

Rang my local HMV and they had one copy left for £14 so reserved it and picking it up tomorrow, just hope it's mint, sealed and has the disk in a nice plastic sleeve or something? Is that too much to ask? ;)

Just went to my local hmv (Norwich) which is a 40mile round trip! And got lucky as they had 7 on display, which where all mint and £14 so i grabbed 3, and was praying for the girl at the checkout not to open them and Luckly she didn't. She just told me that the discs were faulty and some didn't even have discs inside, and kindly handed me the replacement discs. So happy days :)

Has anyone managed to pry any information from any of the Irish outlets in relation to this?

I have a friend who's a manager and to be honest, he didn't seem to know a whole lot about it and couldn't say if they were coming back in or not.

In the end he secured me a copy from a store in Oxford UK and I'm waiting for it to arrive here now to pick it up. Doesn't look too good.

Some HMV exclusive Steelbooks never see the light of day over here unfortunately. I keep getting told there is no demand for them here and so they won't order in the more expensive Steelbooks only the platic Amaray's because they are afraid they won't be able to shift them. Ridiculous!

With HMV it's generally easier to presume they've done something WRONG rather than right. They've just forgotten to give you the replacement disc. ;)
