Look at the disc. You see a LIONSGATE logo to the left of the BLURAY DISC logo.

Under the Lionsgate part is a number:

Just got that email too. So we get an email 2 weeks ago saying we will get the replacement disk within two weeks, and now they are only sending them out?! It takes two weeks for me to get anything from them so that will be a month in total! It's a good job i've seen the movie or I would be annoyed.

HMV should have been all over the studio for these discs given the way people have been messed about over this. But why am I not surprised it's taken them nearly double the amount of time they promised.

Went to HMV to try and get this today, they had the normal blu ray in the chart section but none of the steelbook. Looked in the a-z section and managed to find the last one. Already unsealed bagged, disc rattling around inside. :angry: Disc was unscratched and steelbook is in perfect condition so it could have been worse.
 
My partner ordered me this online whilst it was still available. It was never despatched and she received the email saying replacement discs would be sent.

I've told her to wait a few more days then give them a call

I went into my local store today, just to check how they have dealt with the problem.
I picked up the only 4 (sealed) copies on the shelf, (yippee, still sealed):drool: went to the counter to buy, and asked if these had been opened and resealed with the replacement discs. She said they were new stock, but as i gather, there are no "NEW" stock of this release, so this was the original release, with the faulty disc. So i told her about the fault, and said that they should have a replacement disc in a separate sleeve. "No" she said, "i`ve not been told that". Then some blokes voice from under the counter said, "Oh yeah, there are some discs on the counter, i wondered what they were for". So i had to explain the whole affair to him, and he checked his computer, realised what the prob was and sold me 2 copies. (Not allowed more than 2):angry:
Awful shop and staff.
But i have two copies unopened, to add to my collection, to sell, or trade in years to come, when i need to.:oohyeah:

Or maybe just maybe the people in the shops arent being told the correct info? They have quite alot of items in a shop and im sure dont all scour steelbook forums to know every detail about every product?

Cut them some slack, theyre dealing with an issue from the studio/distributor etc and sorting it

I don't think it's OOP, there's got to be a lot of these Steels left. I just think they don't know what to do with the faulty disc issue. I am expecting it to eventually go back on sale online.
 
Great news, I FINALLY received my first shipment with the sealed steel and faulty disc (dispatched 9.20.12) yesterday (10.8) here in the U.S.

Not one crease in the box package, not a single ding to the steelbook. Got the same widespead email that y'all got about the replacement disc yesterday as well.

The info about the new shipping taking much longer put me at ease somewhat, but I always had the fear in the back of my head that this puppy was LOST. Very happy to see it sitting there on my desk this morning.

Now, for the replacement so I can watch this ride!
