Multi Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War (2020)

that's cause our eyes have years of experience of being trained at 8bit, 16bit, 64bit and so on ... ie. our experience probably hinders us. ha.
Either that or I'm just Shite at them

I just seen a video where their reporting that this game is starting to brick PS5 consoles. It was happening to the XBX now it's happening to the PS5 as well. I just bought this game and haven't even played it yet, now I'm afraid to play it for fear of it bricking the console. Has anyone else had any weird stuff happen with this game affecting their console in any way?

YES, you saying this mate I had a few problems with my console whilst playing this.
When I first loaded the game it wouldn't get past the loading screen and then once it did, it would randomly cut off. I just put it down to the console.
Even when the console stopped doing all this the game still didn't run smoothly, the cinematic scenes were terrible to watch and would take forever to finish as everything was in like a slow-motion state.

I think some of it may be down to the Warzone download as this was causing a lot of problems beforehand.

Users Are Reporting That Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Is Bricking Their PlayStation 5’s

It rarely pays to be an early adopter, and that’s a frustrating sentence to write: hundreds of indie developers rely heavily on users willing to test and guide their studios to a finished project that would otherwise never be able to cross the finish line, without the backing of those users willing to dabble in the term of ‘Early Access‘.

Yet many users that have managed to get their hands on a PlayStation 5 already have begun reporting a frightening issue with Sony‘s PlayStation 5 that circles around Treyarch‘s Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (a bit of a mouthful) and users are taking turns between pointing the blame at the title, and pointing it at Sony while some posit they rushed the release of the PlayStation 5.

In the event that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is the only title crashing you PlayStation 5, know that you aren’t alone. Also understand, based on what we’ve been able to glean from social media forums, that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is currently the only title crashing the PlayStation 5, and if you continue playing it could very well brick your entire system.

If your system has been bricked by Cold War, it’s recommended that you reach out to Sony: multiple users that have confirmed the problem have also stated that their console is being replaced by Sony.

Far more readily reported, however, has gamers pointing fingers at Treyarch and the newest iteration of Call of Duty.

For the time being, until Sony eventually gets around to addressing the issue(no accounts readily found ran by Sony have officially stated that this problem is becoming far larger than it originally seemed), it is strongly recommended to avoid playing Cold War on the PlayStation 5 at the very least. It may prove to be an abundance of caution, but precisely how reliable the PlayStation 5 actually is has absolutely been called into question.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has a ‘PlayStation first’ mentality that they’ve readily stated and stood by; some game modes won’t even be arriving on other platforms until the distant future, which makes the current bevy of reports all the more concerning. How does a title that was apparently designed to take advantage of the PlayStation 5 brick the system without further calling into question the stability of the platform?

This is being added to a myriad of other issues with the PlayStation 5: discs refusing in eject, an HDD glitch causing crashes, multiple titles causing crashes and reboots, overheating: this is not a pleasant look.

Users that are struggling with the PlayStation 5 bricking (meaning that it won’t turn on) or constantly crashing and turning off are urged to attempt to reach out to Sony’s support either online or via a phone system at 1-800-345-7669. Bear in mind, however, that all reports have stated that attempting to get a hold of anyone is a maddening endeavor.

Do not play it, it'll brick your console. Read my previous post. ^

People are already cheating in the multiplayer of this. There calling it Reverse Boosting. Essentially people are joining a match and purposely doing poorly where in the next match the system will pair them up with less skilled people and then going in and dominating the map and so they just do this over and over again.

Also seen several reviews where they say this game is already dying out.

I shouldn't have wasted $60 on this and just bought something else instead.

Part of the reason that I can be arsed with the multiplayer on games nowadays :cautious:

After that huge update I haven't had any problems with it. I wanna to try multiplayer but man I really suck at it but I'm willing to give it a go.
It definitely needed one  Yeah I will give it a go myself, I don't actually mind the zombie mode and haven't played a multiplayer game for years so will be all new to me now :wow::whistle:

The multiplayer is excellent, although I am a slave to COD. Had a couple of issues on the game, re-built the database once, but nothing exciting, been working well otherwise. Poepl have been saying this game is dying out and people are fed up of COD for as long as I can remember and numbers and sales just grow. The issue with COD is its hard, and lots don't like it because it frustrates them undertstandably.

Bought a bunch of stuff for Multiplayer and chat on the PS5. Broadcast quality XLR Dynamic microphone, mic boom, cables and a USB mixer that connects to the PS5 and it sees it as a mic. Then on top of all that I bought a DAC Headphone Amplifier so when I connect my Beyerdynamics DT 1990 Pro's to the controller I can boost the sound and even add some bass to it if I want. I went into the PS5 audio settings and turned the headphones volume all the way up and found that it wasn't loud enough, probably because the controller can't push enough oamage for this headset hence the DAC. Did notice that when you have a headset connected to the controller it runs the battery down faster.
