Can you exchange your steelbooks for unforseen damages?

So I just bought Snow White and the Huntsman steelbook (Canadian) from Future Shop and I was wondering if I could exchange the steelbook because of damages under the label. I basically opened up the shrink wrap and lifted open the J-card and found scratches and a small dent under it. Sorry if this seems like a stupid question but thanks

Yep, I'd take that back as it's clearly damaged.

That's a good question, I believe you can but I know some places state that once you open the item you can't take it back. Maybe people can chime in on what their experiences have been when returning opened Steelbooks.

I have returned a few to FS before, you sometimes get dirty looks fom the CS reps but they do take them back.

I had 1 CS rep open up 3! :eek: .....yes 3 copies (the last 3 copies in the store mind you) to find me an undamged one. He was really nice and went the extra mile for me that day.

I just went back to return it, and they gladly allowed me to take a look and opened up the only copy they had to see for damages. Sadly there is a noticable scratch in the front, but i took that one because the one i returned was far worse than this one. Im satisfied and happy for the service they offered. Actually watching Snow whiite and the Huntsman right now
