does anyone want to know which film is HDzeta No.2? still in the process of selecting an artwork and waiting for confirmation of that film company it belongs to, but the title is basically settled

Of course hope for another classic movie that deserves steelbook treatment

well, No.2 is a classic...in many people's minds...the film definitely deserves a steelbook treatment...and I guess this film has never been released in a steelbook before...actually, not in a Blu-ray steelbook before...
let's wait for an official thread announcing Exclusive No.2 by HDzeta:scat:

Classic animation not from Disney/Pixar?

Shrek?

nope but Shrek is, in some way, very close;)
I am not actually permitted to directly tell you the title; let's just wait for the official thread and then you will know the title
but I believe that as clever as you guys, you are able to guess correctly what the title is even with the clues I have given you;)
period: an animation in 21st century

Oh, a game ! I like guessing, so I'll play :).

Because AlamoSoul said it "very close" to Shrek "in some way", I'll say Kung Fu Panda (it's basically centered on a Shrek-like character + takes place in China). Not steelbook material to me, and I don't like that it's the first film of a franchise without other steels (unless HDZeta follows up with Kung-Fu Panda 2, we're not likely to have that one), but that's what I gather from the clues.

Or it could be Puss in Boots, it's extremely close to Shrek since it's a spin-off. Again, not one I'd pick to follow Lawrence of Arabia, and it'd be odd to have that one when there are no Shrek steelbook.

So I took out my list of animated films (I have one of those, yeah) and I ruled out :

- Any Disney/Pixar animated film.
- Any Japanese animated film.
- Any French animated film (for the past 12 years or so we've been making great animation :)).
- Any "dark" animated film (the awesome Waltz with Bashir or Mary & Max for instance).
- Any sequel (that's common sense).
- Any animated film released prior to 2001 ("the 21st century").
- Any animated film that was a real box-office disappointment.
- Any animated film that already has a steelbook.

Thus if Alamo's info is correct and I made no mistake (I usually don't), HDZeta Exclusive #2 is among them :

  • My wishes (post-2000 animated films) : How to Train your Dragon or Fantastic Mr Fox.
  • Suspect #1 : Kung-Fu Panda (Po is like Shrek, and it's set in China, much like HDZeta).
  • Suspect #2 : Puss in Boots (it's a spin-off of Shrek, you can't get closer than that).

It's either of these four, or it's either one of the ones below (in bold are the most financially successful) :

  1. Ice Age.
  2. Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.
  3. Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas.
  4. Shark Tale.
  5. Madagascar.
  6. Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. :)
  7. Robots.
  8. Over the Hedge.
  9. Flushed Away.
  10. Happy Feet.
  11. Surf's Up.
  12. Bee Movie.
  13. The Simpsons Movie. :)
  14. Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who.
  15. Monsters vs. Aliens.
  16. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
  17. Legend of the Guardians - The Owls of Ga'Hoole.
  18. Megamind.
  19. ParaNorman.
  20. Rise of the Guardians.

AlamoSoul says it hasn't had a Blu-ray steelbook before, implying it could have had a DVD steelbook, so I'd wager that this film was done before 2009 at least ;).

My money is still on Kung-Fu Panda (again, there are better choices imo).
