If a French/German/UK retailer releases a title that has previously been released in Steelbook form they are ruining the hobby, destroying collectibility and are only in it for the money. If an Asian retailer does it, they are doing collectors a great service, giving collectors what they want and only have the collectors' interests in mind.

You have hit the nail on the head! there does seem to be a lot of double standards.

Uh...maybe it's because the Asian retailers give a crap about quality and collectibility? I'd rather have an Asian steel that's well-designed, limited, and packed with extras than a German steel with printed back, a French steel with a reverse spine, or a dull matte Zavvi steel with no thought for design

Asian retailers obviously have more influence on the final product than European retailers. Why would a retailer intentionally sell Steelbooks with poor artwork and finishes? The answer is they wouldn't unless they didn't have a choice. Of course I could be wrong and Zavvi executives think: let's forget those awesome Steelbooks with great artwork and glossy finishes that we can sell for a premium and release these rubbish ones that will sit in our warehouse for months and have to be reduced to £4.99 to clear them.

Anyway, this is all rather irrelevant to my point which was that there are a lot of double standards which you didn't really address.

I missed out on the HMV steel for this and Kimichi have good track record for art so I may get this if Mondo one dont get made.

Will wait to see art... the Mondo one might be better, too. They should announce that soon if they are going to release it.

I want this, but import fees and the like from Asia are going to be high I assume? Only time I ever got an Asian blu-ray I bought from eBay. I imagine these are going to be around £100 each like the Thor ones are if it gets to eBay. Hmmph.

Maybe, or eventually it will.

It all depends on the print run and limitation of your order which Kimchi will uphold.

Personally it think the print run will be higher than usual.

They feel the heat and the wants of the customers.... Would only be stupid to keep this release at 1000 copies.

I've never ordered with them (don't even know how I'd go about it!). I think I've only ever got my steelbooks from Amazon/Play/eBay/Zavvi/HMV/Sainsburys so despite having somewhere near 100 I'm quite sheltered haha.

Honestly? I'm more psyched about this release than of IM. IronMan is overrated... EEK!

And i already have 4 Iron Man steels.

Hehe, me too. ;)

Don't get me wrong, I love Marvel steels as much as the next man. I'm still angry at Kimchi's servers since I had both Thor's in my cart and didn't manage to check out. :hilarious: But that's OK, I can live with that.

Not if it happens to me with this one though! Bring it on!
