This & IM2 Taiwan beats every other worldwide release of these two flicks including the Japanese ones with the flimsy stickers on the front, the J-card slips of these two side-by-side are stunning and a must own in every Steelbook or Marvel collection, you can't just have one or the other, you do need both to fully appreciate the slips :)

supply vs. demand.

I don't think anyone knows the print run for any of them.

If I have to guess the print run for Captain America Taiwan, I would say less than 200 just based on how it was sold out and very few shop had them...

So why is the Taiwan Cap going for so much more than IM2? Was the print run that much smaller?

As nice as the slip is I would rather put the money into hot toys captain America unless I can get it under hot toys price range. I already got a few dif cap version so I can live with out the slip.

yes, it all comes down to personal preference...

The people who are paying these prices are probably rich with a huge disposable money....so it doesn't matter to them...they just have to own it in their collection.

I look at my current collection...I can buy a lot of other toys, electronic gadgets, extra LED, tools ,etc :)

Yea it is personal preference pretty much. My main collection is hot toys figure and Steelbook is my secondary focus. Still a nice steel to have in the collection but only will pursue it if I got disposable income or can get it cheaper then what I paid iron man future shop.

really don't get the fascination with a steelbook slip, its cool that the steel is limited to a low number though.

I don't get it either. It's the first thing that I throw away after obtaining a Steelbook because there's a likelihood of them sticking hard or scratching the Steelbook if it stays there for extended period. Case in point: the slips for Tron: Legacy and Tintin. They are nightmares to remove from the Steelbook.

Now £142.00 on flee bay with 4 days still to go!!
EEK!

a few days ago CA ended at £372 lol so that is cheap so far. I told people before why I ranked it in the top ten most expensive steelbooks, no one really believed me and how it was more expensive than Inglourious Basterds FS. I hope people actually listen to me now :)

There has definately been an increase of interest in 'slip cover ' type steelbooks and the extra little uniqueness to add to the very low rarity print run. For me, I would rather prefer 'classic' type steelbooks that have original artwork, not worldwide release artwork, rather than a 'slip' except for Gladiator Taiwan and Terminator 2 2.0.
