This is a cheap looking design. Knocking out the trilogies of each film hero screams 'cheap' to me.
I bet the finish is probably like BvS Italy steelbook. A quick logo slapped on the front to represent the film character
without any sort of finish. At best it will be gloss instead of matte but I cannot see any decent finish on these.
I've never been a fan of trilogies in one steelbook.
Presumably coming to the U.K. soon . . . to join the recent rash of trilogy steelbooks . . . certainly with 4K UHD discs starting to pick up pace got to be the best way (in some cases) to dump old discs.
A few recent examples:-
Of course, nothing new or wrong in this practice . . . some of the trilogy steels v. nice indeed!
Examples just from the UK . . . probably only a teeny, tiny percentage of the total number of TRILOGY STEELBOOKS released in other territories . . . not including other metal packaging such as the oversized tins for the JURASSIC PARK and the BACK TO THE FUTURE trilogies and the petrol can for the MAD MAX trilogy copying the earlier RESERVOIR DOGS release.
