I thought they were shipping these on the 20th from the last update, so pushed back again. WOW
Did you receive any concrete update on yours please?
Thx
Hi there, not as yet. I took that update as its close (ish). Wouldn't expect to hear yet as supposed to ship Monday. Hoping to hear something during the week.
I asked.... Their answer;

"....we are so sorry for the delay. We've started shippings this week with CMA17 Rocketman too, and we hope to finish in a couple of weeks...."

Couple of weeks...................................blah

Couple weeks to hopefully finish shipping for a product that has been delayed constantly , what is going on with this company? When do we reach the point to ask for a refund??

To finish on a couple of weeks with exactly WHAT?
Thats simply outrageous: no relvant and honest update, only in case of asking an answer confirming only delays.
Dont they think its time to reveal finally whats the real problem here and when may we expect with a confirmed and exact status?

Ordered direct and still no shippiccvng...considering asking for a refund for this and the Shining
I'm strongly considering this, I have a lot of money tied up with their pre orders with no honest updates. Just excuses and more pre-orders for new products that won't ship anytime soon

Refunds? That's funny. If the whole company suddenly goes under tomorrow and declares bankruptcy all your pre-order payments are gone, never to be seen again. Unless it's different in Italy compared to North America.

That's just way too many pre-orders for one company to be behind on having already taken payments.

I don't think I'll participate in the Back To The Future release from this company whenever that takes place.
With COVID-19 still spiraling out of control more each day all over the world causing further delays I don't think I will be pre-ordering anything from anywhere that doesn't have a a firm release date (month and day) longer than 30 days from the pre-order date.

What a bunch of fucken jerks. It's almost laughable. Glad I've never pre ordered. This makes me appreciate companies like manta lab more, who are on the other side of the world and still handled everything perfectly and professionally when my order was returned and almost lost in the postal system. Was considering buying something from cinemuseum yesterday but I'm not sure if I want to buy from a company like this..

Just my thoughts and without generalising too much, I often think this is a very European, like the Spanish "mañana", ie "tomorrow", a much more laid back approach. I think when they say a time, it's very lose and I wonder how many issues they get with this in Italy, I suspect much less.
The US and UK have a much more fixed idea of deliveries. German is known for efficiency etc. So not to stereotype too much, but think this is atleast partially cultural. Not making it right or ignoring the individual company influence in this, but I suspect as a UK or US company for example they would more likely say "we estimate this delivery for ......., we are sorry for the delay etc, please bare with us, or we will be happy to offer a refund". This would contain a realistic delivery date and not just steady dates which move each time.

I really like their stuff and have some extra patience re the issues they have had this year. I also have no rush for the editions (and I have many pre-ordered), so I'm not too stressed. I think its handled badly and no doubt like many if this became the norm, I would have to re-consider using them simply as a year or even 6 months is maybe too long a lead time when paying up front.

Good point. I have to say I do 'understand' the extreme delays with everything that has happened this year, but they should understand that there are people who want a refund if they still haven't gotten a product after nearly a year. Banning those people is just unrespectful and ignorant. I remember the OUATIH art thing too, didn't they basically steal from an artist? Things and stories like that just make them seem really shady to me.
The culture thing makes sense, but they should realise they have international customers. Maybe someone who has contacts with them here could give some feedback to them about communication. Again I must mention manta lab, they have a lot of delays but they always communicate it very clearly.

Yep, Europe has a lot of cultures. where Spain and Italy (South) are (mostly) just awful with holding agreements and Germans and the Dutch (north west) usually shake hands and things WILL be done as agreed.
But I just think this is a company lead by cucumbers or cauliflowers. At least something/someone without commercial and ethic qualities.... Like we all know, rotten apples are found in orchards everywhere around the world ;)

I'm wondering if it is safe to pre order the Goonies next month
There hasn't been signs that I know of of financial issues, they have a new premisis and have mismanaged this. Truth is unless very close you rarely know the financial position of small companies. If it went bust, there would likely be no prior knowledge or notice, as this would simply accerlerate going bust. So its a personal judgement currently re the risk and affordability.

Exactly. FilmArena, Manta Lab, Plain, HDZeta, are really lovely and professional.

Now, seeing that you're understanding what they really are, I will say you more, that you probably don't know. First, they are really ridiculous and judge others' distribution houses for their "poor" quality, in some cases saying also that they are about to "vomit", refering to an Italian house, CG Entertainment, who makes start-ups to bring some less-known titles on Blu-Ray, and their editions are really great. They, then, judged Universal's Back to The Future packaging saying it is "Shitty". Just to say, meanwhile, Universal gives them the Steelbooks editions to insert them into their CMA. This is ridiculous. And the funny thing is that you can see and hear these things on their Facebook LiveStreams. They also are claiming (to us, Italians) that The Goonies has Italian Dubbing Language thanks to their work with Warner Bros Italy, and so this allowed they to Shitty-Talk in a Live-Stream of a wonderful and HONEST Italian youtuber, who in a short video, say everyone that they can buy the UK edition of Goonies because anyway the disc is region free and it has Italian. He also reviews foreign editions like arrow or blue underground etc. etc., and luckily he is growing and German House Turbine is sending him their editions for free, sometimes.
That "shitty-talk" about this Italian youuber is now making him fall down. this is really sad.
Keep in mind this and every other thing you know about CM, like that time they have stolen artworks, every time they delay, and now surprisingly they block someone because he wanted to cancel an order? This is really funny, because in a live stream they they said "You can cancel your orders with us, we have no problem". Ridiculous.

CM, you had my attention. Not anymore.
Do you wanna really buy their editions now? Remember, what I wrote is not bullshit, learn Italian and watch what they do, you can clearly see everything.

**waiting for their next livestreams where they will say I am a liar...**
