Love these, but the only trouble with Bond releases is how quickly they become outdated- the only way this series could work is if we get steelbook releases going forward using the same concept of using scenes from the opening sequences.

Just a word- You might not like the artwork, but others will; Unfortunately, we'll never get a release where you'll have 100% approval from everyone...
True but in this instance the approval ratio will be 80-20 and not the usual 50-50. [emoji12]
I like it! And as per usual- everyone will say they hate it- but it will sell out in 5 minutes flat.
(And the nice thing is, the old steelbook doesn't spontaneously wink out of existance because of it...i.e.- if you don't like it- buy the other one...)

Think the only rebuttal on that point is that the image used is lifted from the movies opening credits; If it was a horrible photoshopped effort made by a designer purely for the sake of the steelbook I'd be more inclined to agree.
I think the philosophy of using imagery from the opening title sequences as the steelbook artwork is a fresh take on the Bond releases (obviously, we've all got different thoughts on what constitutes good/bad artwork, but I think it's more daring than the typical amaray case artwork they could of gone with...)

Totally agree. I like the designs of the new steelbook series. Would be great to see that kind of steelbook for the upcoming Spectre movie.
Guess i will have to check my local store for this and the other releases today..

I wouldn't count on it. All Media Markt shops show no stock available and my pre-order of the three Daniel Craig ones was cancelled without telling why.
Seems like you're right, on their website it says that they're not available for in-store pickup...
Guess i will give it a try anyway.
