This has turned out decent. Steel is lovely but the slip should’ve had some spot gloss on the title and caspers head. I’ve noticed they only like to spot gloss titles when they are razor thin and the title here is chunky so maybe that’s why. Annoying. But nice edition
This would’ve been a 10/10 release for these collectors editions if that slip had spot gloss on the title and Caspers head. It blows my mind that wasn’t applied. It’s the perfect size image to spot gloss on a slip. Other than that it’s a great release (although the back image of the steelbook is quite low res)

The lack of spot gloss on the title and Casper's head is annoying. As I already mentioned, I would have liked to see metallic effects in the blue background of the Steelbook, similar to Atomic Blonde. The rear looks very blurry, so they should have used artwork of better quality.
i got number 1806 out of 2000. Its actually a really nice collectors edition, I got it for £44.99 in the end with some credit.
Silly question, as it's Zavvi we're dealing with, but does the 10% code never work on released SteelBooks these days? I've tried it with some newer releases by waiting a week, but nothing happens. Have they stopped this Red Carpet perk now? Cheers
From my experience you won't get it on pre orders or new releases. I think it's a big con, because it hardly works on anything. I haven't ordered anything from them in years and get all my movies from HMV.
To be honest, I went through and cancelled all my Zavvi SteelBooks and swapped to HMV. At least if there is an issue, you can talk to a human being at HMV. I sometimes wait if there is a steelbook that I know will probably not sell out, then I I would use the 10% discount, but as you said, it's all a bit of a con. I have the original Casper steel, but liked the look of this, but really didn't want all the extra stuff it came with at a silly price. Shame it didn't come as a standalone steel like everywhere else! I'll just wait for a price drop (fingers crossed) as £50 is way too much. Thanks for the reply!
