Ordering from Amazon EU sites within the EU is usually without any issues. Ordering from across the globe - any EU site to US/CA or vice versa - tends to give me an error message saying "we won't deliver to you". It's annoying, but there's nothing we can do about it other than wait and hope we can order it later. I wanted to pre-order a Pink Panther box set back in January on Amazon US but I couldn't because they wouldn't ship it to me. Fast forward to after release, and I had no issues ordering it.

Amazon USA does the same for international customers its not just Amazon Europe websites

A lot of Amazon USA pre orders you have to wait until they make available for shipping outside USA
Some are only available after release date

Just keep watch on the website every few days/weeks at some stage before or after release date it will be available to ship to USA

It's do with reduced shipping options due to Covid-19
